What each network takes
| Network | What Demander posts | Access and limits |
|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn (Company Page) | Text and links, 1 to 20 images, one MP4 video (3 seconds to 30 minutes) or one document (PDF, PowerPoint or Word, up to 300 pages) | Community Management API on a separate LinkedIn app; only Page admins connect. Its development tier allows 500 calls per app a day. |
| X | Up to 4 images, one GIF or one video; 280 weighted characters | Pay-per-use API: $0.015 a post, $0.20 with a link, counted against the X usage in your plan |
| Facebook (Page) | Text, links, up to 10 photos or one video; Reels; Stories | Meta App Review and Business Verification; Meta limits how many Stories an app posts a day |
| Instagram (professional account) | One JPEG image, a Reel, a carousel of 2 to 10 items, or a Story | 100 API posts per account in a rolling 24 hours; links in captions are not clickable |
| TikTok | A video, or a photo post of 1 to 35 JPEG or WebP images | Private until TikTok has audited the app; the creator picks the privacy level and sees a preview before each post |
| Text, link, image, video with a poster, or a gallery of 2 to 20 images, to your profile or a subreddit you moderate | Data API access approved by Reddit for commercial use; subreddit rules and spam filters can remove posts | |
| YouTube | Videos, private by default; vertical videos up to 3 minutes become Shorts | Private until the API project passes YouTube’s compliance audit; 100 uploads a day per project, shared by all workspaces |
| Bluesky | Up to 4 images or one MP4 video, 300 characters, with link and hashtag facets | Your handle and an app password; no app review |
From message to published post
-
Formats rotate per network
Each approved organic creative is laid out for its network: images, carousels, LinkedIn documents, vertical videos, and 1080 by 1920 renditions for Facebook Reels and Stories and Instagram Stories.
-
A B2B calendar
Posts spread over weekdays at business hours in the audience’s time zone, within a weekly cap per network: by default 3 on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, 5 on X and Bluesky, 1 on Reddit and YouTube. You can move any post.
-
Approval through the gate
Publishing is an action that needs autonomy level 4 to run on its own, so on Starter, Growth and Scale a person approves each post in the inbox. See guardrails.
-
Checked again at publish
Right before a post goes out, its text, title and alt text pass the writing rules once more, and a post that still reads as machine-written is held with the reason. Links get UTM parameters, so visits from a post count as organic touches in attribution.
Details handled per network
-
01
Carousels
A carousel becomes one PDF document on LinkedIn, a multi-image post on Facebook and Instagram, a gallery on Reddit and a photo post on TikTok. Slides beyond a network’s maximum (4 on X and Bluesky, 10 on Facebook and Instagram) are dropped.
-
02
JPEG renditions
Instagram accepts only JPEG images and TikTok photo posts only JPEG or WebP, so both get JPEG renditions of the rendered images.
-
03
Links
Links in Instagram captions are not clickable, so point people to your bio or a Story. On X a post with a link costs $0.20 against $0.015 without one.
-
04
Thumbnails
YouTube takes a custom thumbnail when the channel is verified. If YouTube refuses it, the video stays up and you get a warning instead of a second upload.
Connecting each network
LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and YouTube connect with OAuth: you sign in on the network and grant only the publishing scopes it needs. Bluesky connects with your handle and an app password created in Bluesky’s settings, and Demander refuses the account password. Disconnecting revokes the grant at the network wherever it offers a way to.
Your plan sets how many social channels a workspace can connect: 3 on Starter, 10 on Growth, 30 on Scale. See pricing.
Approvals that change what you see
-
01
TikTok
TikTok restricts posts from apps it has not audited to private viewing. Demander posts privately until its Content Posting API audit has passed, then with the privacy level the creator picks, with commercial-content disclosure and interaction toggles off unless the creator turns them on.
-
02
YouTube
YouTube locks uploads from unaudited API projects to private. Demander uploads privately by default in any case, and you make a video public after review.
-
03
Reddit
Reddit asks commercial apps to be approved for Data API access before it issues tokens; without that approval Reddit may block or rate-limit posting.
-
04
LinkedIn
LinkedIn requires its Community Management API to be the only product on an app, so Page posting uses a second LinkedIn app with its own consent screen.
Questions people ask
Can Demander post to my personal LinkedIn profile?
No. It posts to Company Pages you administer, through LinkedIn’s Community Management API. Personal posting would need a different LinkedIn product that Demander does not request.
Why are our TikTok posts private?
TikTok shows posts from apps it has not audited as private. Until Demander’s audit has passed, posts go out that way; afterwards the creator chooses the privacy level for each post.
Do organic posts cost anything extra?
On X, yes: X bills each post through its pay-per-use API, and that comes out of the X usage included in your plan. The other networks do not bill Demander per post, though Reddit may price commercial Data API use.
Can posts go out without anyone approving them?
Only at autonomy level 4 or above, which Enterprise policies can allow. On other plans each post waits for approval, and you can edit it first.
